Audio Pod Artist

This week I feature a blog/podcast that also comes from across the pond. Sarah Rourke has taken her skills and talent as former broadcast journalist and moved them to the web in an effort to help entrepreneurs and businesses utilize ‘web audio’ to enhance or expand their business.

This seems to be directly on point in regards to our own class content. Her latest podcast is a two part interview with Claire Raikes who runs Business Blog Angel another business consultant. The quality of the audio is crisp and clear. I’m not sure how they were communicating but it sounded like they were in two different locations. If it was a telephone interview or a VOIP interview the audio quality was very good. I also like the slick production quality and the opening teaser and tag line ‘getting your voice into their heads’. One tiny critique, at the start of part two of the interview, Ms Rourke brings up the audio of the interview in the background while she is still introducing it. It was just a little too loud and made it harder to understand her introduction. Otherwise I have no other complaints in terms of production quality. In terms of content quality I must admit the interview with Ms Raikes provided so many suggestions to be worth the price of admission, which at the moment is free, so how could you go wrong.

Finally I really appreciated the widget that allowed the podcast to play directly from the open page rather than opening a new one, very convenient.
